About
"Kris Krainock is an American writer and filmmaker, beginning his professional career
with the publication of poetry and short stories in local and national literary journals.
This culminated in the release of his first collection of poetry, 'Criticisms, Witticisms & More'
in 2007 at the age of seventeen. After several amateur film efforts, Krainock wrote and directed
the film that would prove to be his most successful venture to date; 2012's 'God of the Machine,'
which would go on to be selected to close The LA Shorts Fest as well as win the Viff! Indie Film Festival
for Best Nevada Short Film.
Garnering several other nominations and wins from local, national and international film festivals,
Krainock used this momentum to open his own production company “Krainockian Pictures.”
As a freelance videographer, Krainock has also directed commercials for the gaming industry,
which have debuted in two of the largest venues in the world; the Las Vegas Strip and Times Square
in New York City.
Krainock's major upcoming projects include the feature motion picture 'Madame X,' where he’s been able to
collaborate with legends in the field such as Stanley Kubrick’s director of photography Douglas Milsome and
Stanley’s widow, the artist Christiane Kubrick. Krainock is also developing the television series 'The Idiot' and
the darkly comedic web series 'It’s All Downhill From Here.'"
